In the article "Does heavy marijuana use impair human cognition and brain funciton?" The authors talk about how frequent marijuana users  ,  show imparliments in mental flexibility.  The target organ for marijuana is the brain , its is remarkable that there is so liitle scientific information to communinicat about adverse effects of chronic marijuana use (par.2) "Despite the many contradictory reports , concern about cognitive impairments asscociated with heavy marijuana use appears justified , based on the impairments observed in severa of the methodologicall stronger studies (par.3) This article is good for my topic because it shows that not much studied has gone into marijuana use , but the fact that it has became so popular with teens , provides motivation for conducting these studies.

Article 2: "Marijuana should remain illegal"

In my article "Marijuana should remain illegal" the author argues that legalinzing marijuana would allow regualtion of it potencty. He says that marijuana is not the same drug it was 20 years ago. Special fertelizers , plant hormones and steroids have been added to this plant. He claims that if cultivation of marijuana were leagal 8 rowers would not be pressed to produced the strongest possible product.  As health regulators distributed the lesser drug, illegal growers would be punishing their high potency marijuana.  Lastly the author states " Marijuana isnt a drug we want to put our stamp of approval on , no matter what the THC level is... and we should beware of those who say There is nothing new about dope".

New perspective and questions updated 10/19/12

As reaserching more about my topic my questions started changing and my perspective on marijuana. I want to find out if medical marijuana and marijuana have differences. While medical marijuana can be a good thing, whats in marijuana that people dont know also if legalizing it would stop teens from using it ?

In my aritcle "Marijuana and Medical Marijuana" argues if leagalizing medical marijuana and marijuana would make it a harder ascess to teens. Other states have already have already gave a look to leagalizing it but other states still question it ! Many individuals and society argue that why not legalize it ? no deaths have been reported , they say its safer than alcohol and smoking cigars. The author claims that states should question what medical marijuana is or should be ?

Essential Quesitons

The reason i chose this as my topic , i thought it would be a good idea to let people know more about marijuana , as many of you know marijuana is a very contreversial topic.  Many people want to legalize it and others dont.  you could argue both ways , but you have to have alot of evidence to support your reason.  In todays generation alot of teens abuse marijuana.  so i wanted to find out why its so popular among teens.  As going through some articles i was suprised to find that marijuana has some crazy ingrediants .  I also was brought upon an article that talked about marijuana you get on the streets being different from medical marijuana.  so it brought me to these essential quesitons.

Why do teenagers abuse marijuana?
